You're right it is addictive. Not good when work is meant to be done as in loading new line for early tomorrow morning but more fun!

loading line. are you off in the kayak tommorow? forcast here at altea is for 22c in the shade. ive got to get up early tommorow,no fishing for me, ive got to do a mountain walk, preperation for a nature slot on the radio, starting in feb.

looks like there will be no wind too should be perfect.

As the weather is so good and the Mediterranean is flat calm I have planned to spend the morning trolling over a shelf the local "gurus" have shown me.

It is off 10 kms of naturist beaches in the local national park and idyllic.

I have a photographer coming along to get some decent shots if I can induce some action.

Spinning over the rocks from the shore usually produces here at the right time of day and on Thursday I had a fantastic run trolling with the kayak which totally knackered a Rapalla. The treble had not been set to come out so easily......but that is the Lubina all over!

So it is a promising area.

Luigi Mateos the top surfcaster in these parts has been good enough to share his lifetime knowledge of the area with me in the past and once again is coming up trumps in exchange for as many free days kayak fishing as he can fit in.

According to GPS he is accurate to the metre.

We are forecast to be in the mid twenties in the shade so it will be very pleasant out on the water whatever happens.

We are having some fantastic weather right now. The temperature in the sun today will be around 30c. Good weather for kayaking.
