Quiver tips - how flexible?

Bad luck, Les! Looking at the pic, it looks as if you keep the sidewinder in position as you cast. Does that cause any problems?

I haven't used one of these before - could someone explain the benefits over a bobbin? The only one that comes to mind is stability in a strong wind, but even in a stiff wind (like last Friday night!) my light bobbins don't give me any problems.

 

What happens if you get a drop-back?

Never used one myself but i think i would prefer it lower down the rod near the handle where the ring spacings are a bit wider.

the sidewinder just springs away from the rod instead of pulling into the rod on a normal bite

the mark 2 and 3 both fit on the but section of the rod

 

I have got the mark 1/2/3 and prefer the one in the photos
