my point exactly,

if there were "underground" terrorist cells then they would be working there already and hence above suspicion and have free range within the port to suss the place out and have the capability through inside info to not only know where a bomb would ideally be suited and the means to get it in there ,a couple of chaps loaded with tackle and tripods would hardly have somewhere apon their person to secrete enough explosives to do anything but make a bang and their just being there an excuse to be stopped hardly sensible terrorist tactics :confused:

You dont get it do yers, these two lads have fished this area for many years along with other regulars,

 

you can drive, even now, into the port most times without being stopped but as soon as they see you fishing its a NO NO!!

I wonder why they should go through the N.W.A.C.A

Could it be that the port authorities are shareing the responseibilities with the club , so they dont need to ban fisherman.

Would it also be that the club could relay the ports concerns, and explain the need to monitor the numbers, and where they can and cant fish.

 

On the security point, you forgot the Lillypods, and listening devices, the trp flares, and claymores.

Holes dug in the ground, with sharpened sticks covered in human excrement placed in the sides pointing up to cause maximum damage and infection when stood in.

silly the river probably has more crap in than the pointy sticks and hence treading on pointy sh*t covered sticks is like having an injection to make the offender immune to the rest ,dont you know anything about security

mind you if it was covered in elk or coyote sh*t it may work,maybe i could get a supply from local zoos and become a pointy crap covered stick perveyor and make a killing

Take a step back - we are anglers and are looking at it as an angler.

If you were a member of security and saw someone who is (to them) ostensibly fishing, but taking photographs.

Please remember we have all this BS about people getting shot by the police whilst brandishing a "replica" gun.

My point is that WE expect security to keep us safe, but because these people are anglers we are up in arms. WHAT WOULD WE BE SAYING IF THEY HAD OF BEEN TERRORISTS AND CAUSED AN EXPLOSION

WITH LOSS OF LIFE?

We would be saying that security weren't doing their jobs!!
