The skipper has the responsibility of the boat, the crew and the punters, it is allways his decision. We have all looked at the weather and said we could have gone or not. It is down to the skipper. I note that the trip you were refering to was a 60 hour one. The smaller day boats do not have to consider two or three day forcast unlike the chieften in this instance. The skipper also has to consider were he is going in relation to the wind direction and also the fishing that he would hope to give the punters. it might have well been a situation he considered that it could have been a waste of time in any event. If you was to ring him as a punter i'm sure he would explain if asked. Some times it looks very rosey in the harbour, it doesn't allways follow that it is the same far offshore.

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

Spoke to Big cod on the phone Saturday morning and he had not gone to sea in his boat (a Lochin the same as a lifeboat). He said it was too rough to be at sea. I fished the local shore match from 2-6 on the afternoon and by that time the passengers on any boat left at sea would have been feeling worse for wear as the sea had grown quite big. Quite a sensible move to stay in port under such conditions.

70 Hour trip pending tomorrow , (Tuesday 1pm depart). And yet again i think the weather is going to beat us. Northerlys aren't very good in the North Sea and tend to "snowball" in their strength , gathering in swell as it goes , with pretty much zero land mass to break up its strength.

Oh well , lets see what happens tomorrow , ...........as they say , "tomorrow is another day"
