Just finished putting the Scottie Rods website online.

Nice to see these rod building skills are still available in the UK!

Have a look at the website here or here

Looks like they'll do well in a specialized market but I found the water noise just a bit off putting, other than that I wish them well

Water noise! I know what you mean! I'll ask if they would like to silence it?

Thanks for your comments :D

Have got to agree with the comment about the water noise! There are a couple of entertaining typos as well but these are minor matters.
A bigger issue is the quoting of prices exclusive of VAT. OK if they'll take cash payments and not a word to the tax man but somehow I doubt it therefore it would appear to me to be a shade more honest and upfront to give the total price inclusive of VAT.

minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which
holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd
by the clean end"

Alan,
as with the water music :D I'll mention this to John. Not sure it's being dishonest as it's still the way some companies operate. It's probably more old fashioned than anything dubious.
Point taken.
Where are the typos??

Spotted that already  and changed it as well!!

Re. the VAT, there is none, so I've adjusted that as well. Not VAT registered as yet, next year hopefully so I'm told.

Thanks again, :D
