On occasion I have a demented sense of humoUr. I often notice, but rarely become a grammar nazi, regarding words that are either wrong, confusing or that I would choose differently.

 

Your closing remark could not be more true - "Somebody has a lot to answer to" is one of these occasions.

 

It comes in the (my) definition of "somebody" vs "someone". Most speakers agree there is little or no difference, someone being slightly more formal than "somebody" (like anybody or everybody).

 

The humor, if it is at all funny to anyone else, is that I've decided it is much like the topic itself - BREXIT. The argument over choice of words - one vs the other - is a argumentative as BREXIT. Of course I realize the conquences of are of far greater importance.

Why? Why do people think they have rights to see them? Rights are given by those in power not god given ,theres thousands of files hidden away by all governments (to hide corruption ,double dealings with criminals despots and terrorists ,govermental lies and downright badness) so why just these files ?

If they are hidden how does miller know what they contain?

In my opinion everything should be seen unredacted ,most will be utter boring crap but nuggets will be interesting ,bean spillers should be rewarded ,moles applauded and wiki-leaks encouraged but unfortunately this is a fairy tale

Miller is interesting but i have sneasneaky feelings shes a remainer after all if the 'city' left the city theres less hedge funding for her old man to do ,hooefully she buggers off abroad like she threatens

Hopefully the government hide the files away for 100 years just to **** her off lol

Will the files make a difference ? Not to me i want out even if it means just one foreigner not having the power to tell me how to live

Googling says she was a labour supporter so getting at the tories inbred but may have voted liberal ,says it all really a rich person trying to stop the masses get what they voted for

The people have every right to see them they are not classified and they will see them because if the government withhold this information on such vital part of our future they will fall like a stone if things go wrong after brexit .

 

Business leaders demand more clarity they know just what's at stake here unlike so many who have this pie in the sky fantasy with brexit 1000s upon 1000s of jobs are at stake here .

Strange you dont seem to realise demand improves wages and conditions ,less workers more demand simple.

Now you seem to be wanting to help big business rather than the man on the street ,heres your mouth your foots on the end of your leg

You also fail to notice demand drives house prices up ! A few million EU workers needing somewhere to live ensures our kids cannot get a foot on the ladder and they pay through the nose for rent .

A bit of cheap labour comes with great setbacks to the man on the street and it generally only benefits house owners renting houses and business making more money ,the man on the street only suffers
