Your totally right Chesters.Last time I went to get something they were totally sold out and the girl I spoke to said people were comming in and buying up the whole stock! I did the boot fairs quite a lot last year and nearly every stall that had tackle seemed to have boxs of chemical lights!

Maybe I should buy a rake of thoise reels then flog em at £8 a shot in the summer! Couldnt aford one at the moment let alone a rake!

Its also a bit skanky though isnt it? or is it my strange concept of morality?

And thats my "non indicative opinion"!

The chemical lights are excellent. Got to say that I shall probably get a poncho for the missus. I have a British Army poncho and it is just so useful. My wife has always envied the convenience of a poncho, and not just when we are out fishing. Very useful as a quick cover up for unexpected showers when walking or boating.

A very underated piece of kit for the boaty angler Peter.Far easier to slip on over what ever your wearing than mess around in a boat trying to put one piece suits on etc also when your wearing one sat down you can cover up most of your gear as well.

Might come back in fashion if they were in Realtree! I never go afloat with out my ex army one.

The LED headlight for £2:99 is a bargain even if only for a back-up

It's not shown on the Lidl link but on the back page of their current brochure is a "screw-in pole anchor" @£4.99 (available from 3rd April). Perfect for making a hole for a brolly when the ground's a bit hard.

The headlamp is EXACTLY the same as mine - except that mine has 'Daiwa' written on it and cost 5 times as much :o

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

Darn it, there was me thinking that I'd got the cheapest headlamp going at £4.99 via the AA and Lidl go and undercut it. They're ok headlamps especially for £2.99..
