Nice warm weather down south today.

Went into an estate agents to collect some keys that I have used for many years and they all had their heads down at their computers, blahdy blah.

after a minute or so, I told one of them rather loudly jesssus I can't stay here much longer, it's too cold. They had the air conditioning up full blast.

Next minute they all fell about laughing including the governor.

:D

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

Bit hot walking to the pond but i took my 1.5ltr canteen that had sat in the fridge all night topped up with lovely ice cubes ,it was empty by the time i got home.

Had my leg humped by an anglers dog so not the usual visit .

Not hot enough sitting still to get the air con out the shed now our ceiling fan is running full speed again ,i am not a heat lover once it gets to 20c thats hot enough for me

A fair crowd down the river (its a well known swimming place) and a couple of topless sunbathers in the field as i strolled through taking a short cut .

Got to 33c on one thermometer and 34 on the other down to 27.8 now

It's hell for many people with MS, most of their symptoms are worse in extreme heat (Uhthoff’s phenomenon).

I'm not too keen on it either, I went out butterflying this morning but got home by midday with the temp @ 29°C by then.

The Small Skippers didn't mind.

Temps in the 30s are way warm for you folks aren't they? Hows the humidity?

I was dripping after walking back to the office yesterday.

Now it's early morning, 22 degrees and 78% humidity.

A breakdown into localised thunderstorms is predicted for today but there's not much sign of it yet.

:clap3: My lawns needed mowing, had been putting it off for ages, too wet the wheels spin, too hot I'll have a stroke etc. Forecast rain from tomorrow so had to do it today, had to stop half way through, felt knackered. Had a lie down and cold drink and felt better. Finished them and wished I hadn't started. Dehydrated, sweat pouring off me, had to have a bath and lie down, Mrs B telling me off for doing it, I said would she do it? No she said, so I said I had to do it then. Can't fish tonight, need a rest. :clap3:

I did mine as it got dark ,warm but not to warm but it was getting dark ,as i cut around the table i ran over the wire ,luckily the electric cut out as i was standing on the cut end as i walked forward.

Took the cable to the shed and chucked it in ,the next day i did the long overdue act of making it longer which meant it was harder to cross over in that corner of the garden.

It was so dark i missed out of my usual pint of cider in the glow of my mozzie killer sitting at the table ,they love me!

If you remember the really hot summer of 1976, I did a roof job up in Savile Row. The building was the original HQ of the Royal Geographic Society and had a very fancy wrought iron and curved cut glass roof. (That was quite something to see - you could look through some parts of the glass and it was just like looking through a telescope at people out in the street).

The roof had been leaking and sometime in the early 20th century another roof had been put over the top, this too was now in need of repair and a temporary corrugated iron roof had been put over the top, it was pretty hot under there anyway but the tailors (Gieves & Hawkes) now using the building also had their extractor fans from the shop blowing out under the temporary roof.

We were drinking about four or five pints of water every day, losing half a stone in weight every day (put that back on each night) and not taking a leak until about 9:00 in the evening - when you did have a leak it was almost black and really stinky.

One interesting thing we discovered on that job was feeding the parking meters with tanners - this ran down the clockwork mechanism in about three days and they only wound them every ten - being there first thing you got on the same meter every day and got a weeks free parking out of every winding.

I don't miss it at all.

Me and my mate at one time were tackers (puts up plasterboard) we had a big roof in a school to do ,on arriving on a blistering hot day we found the plasterboard hadnt arrived.

My mate went off to complain to the forman and came back with a grin on his face ,turns out the gang employed to insulate the roof hadnt arrived and for cash in hand he volunteered us.

Everything was ready and we put on overalls to get on with the job ,unfortunately the bloody roof was metal and the gap was about 2 feet at it narrowest ,after 5 minutes we were down to our boxers and i am sure we got sunburnt as we emerged lobster coloured with a rockwool fuzz

We eventually finished but we must have lost a stone in sweat ,we emerged hot and knackered and after cooling off were hosed down ,hardest days work i have ever done
