Is that the site that used to hold a Species Hunt ? Posters included "Greenheart" and quite a few beachfishers from down W Sussex and Hampshire way

 

It dropped off the radar very suddenly - a pity, because hey were a good bunch.

Hi Martin,

As you know Richard Cosgrif was suffering badly with his back and he stopped the on-site forum not long after you stopped posting.

It did come back online for a very short while after but within a couple of weeks it closed completely and the link was redirected to Facebook and a public group called 'Fishing Forum' (which Richard still administers).(https://www.facebook.com/groups/104940916953/).

 

I'm not a great lover of Facebook, even though everyone around me seems to use it Lol. It just doesn't seem to have the structure and ability to filter on specific areas of interest; and I very rarely visit the new Facebook page.

Me neither. It is OK for families to keep in touch (wife uses it to contact Aussie rellies) but it is quite inappropriate for angling topics - too many non-fishing would-be keyboard warriors trying to pretend they are clever.

I deleted my Facebook account a long time ago - it was the vehicle on which a family issue which I won't go into on here was instigated!! Glad to say though, that's all behind us now.

 

Keith, I hope Richard is making the best of things & I wish him well.

 

Yes I did see the Fishing Forum had moved to Facebook.
