The issue is not limited to the UK. Ken is correct in that the question is "should they be allowed"?

 

Given the fact we are not sending them back to "somewhere" we have a very small % who fit this dilemma.

 

My experience is from my wife. She is an English Language Teacher. Every year there are one or two (boys or girls) that are, frankly, beyond suspect. It's not worth the cost/benefit consideration to go to the ends of the earth to "prove" either way.

 

Remember we are NOT sending them somewhere else.

May I remind you, in the UK at present, there is no legal definition of death, so what could possibly be the problem with a child (or not) age.

Way back when I was 13 /14 years old, I was in various school sports teams, especially the athletics. We had inter school competitions, with some schools that had several pupils of Asian decent. Now I was fairly tall , 5' 9" at that age, but some of these 'kids' towered over me. 6ft, with proper sideburns and moustaches. When we first met them we thought they were the teachers! My disciplines were the shot putt, and discus, but I'd no chance against these 'kids'. When we saw them in the post comp' showers, they were the most well developed early teens we'd ever seen! We used to think that it was a genetic thing, but after talking to them, we realised that some weren't sure of their own age, and had been put in classes that matched their level of education. Even to this day, I'm sure we were competing with 'kids' 6 and 7 years our seniors.

 

This was over 50yrs ago, so there is nothing new in this situation, or in our willingness to just accept it.

That's a good question and one that I've not heard a good answer to.

Asides the child fiasco

 

1?Because girls have no value back home ,they cook and clean for their 'betters' so cannot travel alone as it gives the impression they have free will which most probably brings shame to their fathers

2 ? More earning power for boys plus the chance of inpregnating some silly girl and then demanding right to a family if threatened with deportation

 

I can understand confusion over north african or afghan /iraq 'refugees' but a great number of 'refugees 'in the jungleare obviously from the more black skinned climes so hopefully not one of those turn up as 'children' from syria ,one ln the past was eventually outed attending school as a schoolboy but was 30 hence non should be brought over that look over 10 .

 

The other strange thing is some are joining family members ,why were they not brought over before by the family? (they appear to text and email each other they probably get better broadband than me given by some help bloody group) an immigrant given right to remain if he can support them can bring family members over ,those awaiting a decision obviously cannot because they usually are forbidden to work.

Ofcourse if the 'children' have no ID (hence we cannot know their age) how do we know the family is the family and were not handing over them to a bunch of pedos?

 

I also find it incredible people from here can go to france to give succour and free english lessons to potential criminals if they get here illegally ,its called aiding and abetting a criminal act

We are being made a laughing stock by these 'children', but no-one in power has the guts to actually do anything about it in case it upsets the Human Rights whiners. As Chesters said, why weren't they brought over by their parents in the first place?

You have it about face the parents are just out of sight waiting until their kids once here watered and fed demand their parents join them in utopia ,and they know perfectly well we wont send the child back to the jungle!
