With that sort of viewing Steve you could ditch Sky and use an Amazon Firestick. Install Kodi and a build of your choice (I use Wookie Lite) and the world is your lobster. It takes a while to get used to and you have to spend some time finding the good streams but I've caught up with Game of Thrones and I'm working my way through The Walking Dead, I also watched season 1 of The Grand Tour. The search function for movies is brilliant allowing you to go back several decades if you fancy some retro viewing. Downside is that the Firestick doesn't have much memory so even with the necessary fast internet connection buffering is a pain when watching live sport in HD, I was able to watch England's cricket tour of India on Sky Sports 2 but only in SD. The Amazon Box might solve that with its greater memory.

I bought one of those recently for my girlfriend, and got someone to put Kodi on it. I've had a little play with it - I could get used to it, but the user experience is a bit clunky. I guess I am paying a huge amount for a privilege I use so rarely, but I do value having the option of watching certain things live - news and F1.

Yes Kodi is clunky so you need to add a 'build' to provide the interface between Kodi and the numerous add-ons. The build has it's own menu and links to the add-ons so simplifies things a lot.

It's never a 'six', let's put it back

Never bothered with all the build stuff. Over complicates and makes the thing a bit flaky imo. Fresh install of kodi then its as simple as adding repositry and installing the app of your choice theres some popular ones my brother gets on with just 2 kodi plugins and another standalone android app. Couldnt be anymore simplistic id call it far from clunky.

I just wish they would come with decent instructions ,not a new thing theres 'card sharing' in the satellite circles and encrypted sat channels have been watchable since there were introduced with the right tech.

I used a filmet decoder to watch hard core (now freely available on every device known to man) swedish porn decades ago

Anyone looking for a wireless keyboard for sofa surfing should check out the Logitech offerings.

Much better than those tiny jobbies and the battery life is excellent.
