Why were we not informed of this BEFORE the election? Had the decision not been made then or were they scared it might sway the result?

I could just imagine this happening in France. BNP laying of hundreds of workers in France and moving their jobs to an old colony. There would be riots. But we won't do that, we'll just put on that stiff upper lip, assume the position, spread on another coat of KY and take it.

Whirlpool is relocating it's factory from Amiens to Poland (part of the new European empire) at a cost of 280 French jobs - there have been no riots.

I can't understand you Cory. One minute you're a globalist and the next you're decrying the consequences of globalisation.

Whirlpool is not a state owned company, c'est different. I said BNP for a reason, it's state owned.

You ignore my main point. Why was this not announced BEFORE the election? I guess that would not have suited Mother Theresa.

As for globalisation, we kind of invented that long before I was born. I can still remember when half the world map was red, can't you?

Obviously there was a political component to the decision but as with any politically loaded decision within the public sector, planned outsourcing within RBS (82% of which is owned by the taxpayer) would have been subject to "purdah" once a general election was announced.

So it should have been announced before. I can see another GE and maybe even another Referendum before this is all done.
