Internet censorship?

If they ever get found out chesters. Mps have extra protection than that afforeded to us mere plebs, no joke.

They get found out, unfortunately the information is only 'available' after they are dead.

MP's only get more protection, that is to say, the same amount of protection that the rich get afforded in more ways than one, and that doesn't just apply to this Country.

Misuse of data systems is not the same thing as censorship.

I mentioned a certain corporation earlier in this thread and here's an example:

UKIP are currently in the middle of a leadership election with postal voting currently on-going and the results due to be announced next weekend.

One of the more interesting candidates is Anne Marie Waters, but a search for her name on Google News comes up with no results from the last two and a half weeks.

For Henry Bolton, the results are bang up to date.

For Jane Collins, the results are bang up to date.

For David Kurten, the results are bang up to date.

Same goes for Aidan Powlesland, John Rees-Evans and Peter Whittle.

Weird that......

Its all part of the governments grand scheme though ken (censorship, control and spying)

None of which have anything to do with the sort of examples of misuse of databases by individuals that you have posted.

I'd love to know exactly what sort of "grand scheme" you think exists because having worked in government and had access to their databases, I really don't think they're anything like to imagine.

The ipb and the digital economy act all designed to keep joe public under thumb and under control and allow the government and its authorities to use questionable tactics to hinder protest and free speech. The databases will be used against us and they want more and more data merged in to one grand database on you. It is a frightning thought that they could know more about me than anyone and the crazy idea that the food standards agency can have access to that database. Its not unreasonable to think that it could be used against people to censor them too.

They have took all this out of the hands of judges and not requiring warrants. Ask yourself why should it be a politician rubber stamping approval on access to browsing history for example, or to get to my medical records. Good thig about databases the waybthey are now is they are seperate. Tax, medical, criminal history, etc etc its not so easy for one bad actor to get his hands on but what may wants will make that easier. Whih imo is EXACTLY what they want.

Dont be fooled by this they have an agenda and its all linked and they are getting it.

Can you believe that out of 18 countries onky the UK and China! Want more government control of the internet. I dont beleive that one bit, or perhaps they played a blinder and made the public swallow this bull. You never hear anyone on the news backing up claims from tech industry telling you its not safe to put backdoors in encryption.

Ooft sorry went a bit light headed there.

Look closely they also flog the data to "interested third parties" IE anyone with the money to buy it ,how do these ambulance chasers know who to chase (metaphoricaly speaking) how do the car parking crooks know where you live to send the fine? Because the data is sold by the NHS ,DVLA etc i expect in all the government data bases your being flogged while their telling you to watch what you put in the bin incase someone uses it!

The DWP one is probably flogged by half the foreign companies the government use to do their dirty work for them ,the gov 'could' say they dont flog it but dont mention the shady companies who get given it to see if your bedroom tax is up to date ,and dont mention the council they sell it and lose it in equal amounts!

Having the ability to censor the tinternet would be great for the government to hide leaks ,hide misdoings and hide unlawful activity ....in your best interests of course under the pretext isis wont know where you shop or other such excuses

When i say censorship i mean MORE censorship its already in progress ofcourse ,once they can silence such groups as wikileaks they can act like the most despotic governments on earth and get away with it without the embarrassment of being found out ! Not that it seems to have eny effect when it is they appear to be above the law!
