The two best times to go fishing are when it's raining and when it's not

Steve,

Fewer are still here.

When fishing topics were simplistic but sincere we all made pro and con contributions. Seems now - were're all old and cheesed off with each other. I am not a camera guy but many posted fishing stories like a blog.

I'll be going to Spain (Barcelona) next spring should a "fishin" be close.

Filth and old age, I'm sure you will agree, are powerful wardens upon chastity. Geoffrey Chaucer.

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

Its far easier to curse the darkness than light one candle

I still pop in most days, but struggle to find anything worthwhile to say. There's a limit on the number of angling topics that can be discussed without too many repeats, and a dwindling number of participants makes it even harder.

I think I've seen Barry L, and Big Cod on here a couple of times recently, :D and although the Brexit thread is as boring as hell, without it AN would probably have 'expired' already.

A few personal problems, along with apathy, brought on by my feelings towards much of todays angling scene, prevent me from anything but the odd session, when the urge becomes too great to ignore. So any kind of fish-in would be very unlikely for me.

Angling is more than just catching fish, if it wasn't it would just be called 'catching'......... John

I'm still here, but you already knew that. B)

I'm happy enough to have "internet friends", I don't want (or need) to go fishing with you all, not my cup of tea at all, but I'll wish you well and follow your exploits with interest if it happens.

I think I've noticed a slight increase in some returning members posting in the last few months.

I fully agree that the Brexit topic is going nowhere and is overwhelmingly boring and repetitious, I often don't look at it for several days and then just check out the most recent couple of posts, not even sure why I do that to be honest.

Still pop in now and again but my visits are probably months apart. There is nothing compelling enough to want to keep coming back. Ive got tons of photos i could share in the photography section but uploads dont work and i wont use a 3rd party.

I dont think id be too fussed if the site shutdown what would be a tragedy would be losing old information(the sites own search doesnt go bwck any more than 2-4 years which is uselesss).

I planned to try and copy all topics that poach contributed to, to add to a personal kinda wiki/searchable database just incase the site does one day just dissapear. Id even pay elton for a copy of all of those.

The download topic thing doesnt work or id have been slowly doing it since he passed away.
