We only had snow in inches about 3 but its just started again.

Got a call from 96 year old neighbour he cannot change over his gas (hes got calor gas cylinders most have pipedl turns out both were empty .

This bloke not only killed germans but built his own plane (no in the 60's not a wellington) and cars but handed me a pair of rusty pipe grips which i advised him to chuck over the hedge whilst i got a calor spanner .

Hes warm again but strangely its only -0.2 it feels bloody cold!

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

 

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

 

Its far easier to curse the darkness than light one candle

Nothing sticking here on the Fylde coast, but very cold. Dog needs a walk, I am steeling myself. The sodding boiler is knackered, so the only room with any warmth is the living room with a gas fire. Hence not keen on getting cold.

Had an inch or so Saturday, froze like hell during the whole day, and night. Woke up this morning to see another couple of inches on top of that. Only trouble was, the stuff underneath was frozen solid, and walking was tricky. About minus 1 now, hoping for a thaw tomorrow.

Amazing ,we are overdue rain here but a sudden downpour would cause flooding as the soil is so dry

I've experienced similar weather syrems whilst rounding the Cape of Good Hope in big bulk carriers Phone. I'd hazard a guess that most posters here have never experienced anything quite like that. (That little hen's fart in 1987 does not come close chesters)
