TAT targetting a fishery owner

In addition and one of the reasons why I posted this is the waste of tax payers money and the hidden agendas.

 

The complainant, works for TAT and has done for a few years, being paid licence and tax payers money with TAT running the building bridges project. ( has it failed I have to ask, or does it need yet more tax payers money pumped in to TAT to do more to prevent fish theft, by you know who. ( non racist me ).

 

And now TAT appear to be acting as judge and jury in supporting this guy, again with tax payers money to get the owner to comply with their agenda.

 

All a bit fishy in my mind.

No different to the RSPCA who demanded huge changes in the law where they decide what constitutes cruelty or even now has the power to remove animals if they think cruelty may occur in the future ! (Crystal balls?)

Then complain they are getting so much work they need more money!

Its bad enough parliament have power but now it seems anyone can decide your breaking the law and in many cases you only have your word against theirs there is no evidence needed.

 

On the angling issue though the owner is a fool as mentioned there's far more clever ways of not letting someone in just as most laws there's ways around them to get you way without greif

 

As for the word nigger if blacks are the only ones allowed to say it isn't that racism? (More like colour prejudice IMHO)

Would a sign saying “no black people” be any better than one saying “no n*****s”? Is the word more offensive than the meaning?

 

I agree that the guy is an idiot, the policy is clearly illegal.

 

I think this is one of those cases where failing to enforce a law which is seen as unimportant (fish theft) leads to anger and resentment.

It looks as though the fishery owner has had some bad experiences and come to the end of his tether. I don't blame him for putting up the sign, but he would have been better off to just make the water a private membership and hand pick his members. Putting the sign up has just left him wide open to PC etc.

Maybe just having it as a Match venue - Open & Club, that way the fish are returned at each peg after "Weighing In" By the "Weighers In".

I don't think it's the case of the law of fish theft not being enforced as "unimportant" but not being enforced because, 1. the perpetrators are foreign and translators are expensive. 2. magistrates and judges are soft on the poor foreigners just catching a few fish to feed their families. On the south coast poaching by eastern Europeans is endemic and the various arms of the law, police and courts are just not dishing out suitable deterrents.
