Really brief - I wonder if Trump even knows we owe China $1.17 trillion in balance of trade? Instead of "trade wars" why not just cancel our debt? That would be about 10 years of bullshite cast into the sea.

 

Has anyone on your side of the pond figured out what planet this guy is from?

While I'm at it - it's insane to me why Brits continue to use knives for murder. Guns are the only way to go.

 

There is nothing new about knife crime: sharp objects, blades and knives have been used as weapons for thousands of years. BBC - on London passing NY murder rate.

Ohh yeah - and this is cool from Honda

 

Honda UK purportedly cut the roof off a new CR-V, calling it the CR-V Roadster. Tellingly, no convertible top was even offered for the concept, "making it a no-top rather than a drop-top. This innovative design makes it a vehicle purely for sunnier climates and therefore completely useless for the two-day British summer which traditionally occurs in May.

The Chinese economy is very unbalanced at the moment. If he can push it far enough to significantly devalue the currency, he can pay off a good chunk of the debt and come up smelling of roses.

Trouble is, a devalued Yuan means that it's cheaper to manufacture in China and therefore harder to bring manufacturing jobs back to the US.

Most likely, he's not even addressing the debt and is implementing tariffs to bring those manufacturing jobs home and meet his election promise.

Either way, it's fair to say that his economic advisers will be more interested in feathering their own nests than digging the US out of a hole.

 

I guess he must be doing something right though because a Rasmussen poll released today shows that Trump's approval rating is 50%. Obama was at 46% on April 2 of 2010 in the second year of his presidency.
