A good floater

Just fished a local pond and although I mainly fished meat and corn under a waggler, I also fished the top for the carp when the ducks allowed.

Just as an experiment, I took some Bakers dog food. It comes as soft rubbery and very buoyant chunks and you can simply hook them on and cast without drilling or banding.

After a very short time in the water, they soften enough for the hook to easily pull through on the strike without disintegrating.

The carp loved them and they can be catapulted a long way.

I used the small dog version which are a little smaller than the normal Backer's Complete.
