Had similar experiences teaching martial arts. We had people who were blind (with a guide dog), in a wheelchair and with all manor of physical challenges turn up and want training. Some could just fit right in with simple adjustments, others, we'd have a chat with, see what they were looking for (most people turning up at a martial arts school with a significant impairment have very specific goals in mind) and work out a program of stuff for them to try.

I don't think we ever charged anyone and everybody gained a little.

Well, he's now decided that after the airport bought some self-propelled wheelchairs, he's no longer going to sue.

 

He can now return to obscurity after his 15 minutes of fame :bye2:

Have to admit I hadn’t seen it before you posted this John so I had a look and found the same report in just about every newspaper including as far afield as Australia. Did another search with ‘exclusive’ in the field and found the original on BBC website.

 

Turns out the incident was well over a year ago, that Luton had not lost or misplaced his wheelchair it was lost at his airport of Origin. Luton, similar to all other airports ask for notice from travelers needing assistance and will oblige even if that means the temporary rental of aids.

 

With all the factors in consideration I would say he probably didnt have a leg to stand on. But you are quite correct with the arse comment.
