Typical reasoning by our useless leaders

 

Simple to do it without deliberately giving criminals free reign of "minor" crimes

A build more prisons

B substitute 6 months for a year problem solved

 

The only way to make sure criminals dont do crimes is to put them away ,all the time they are 3 to a cell they are not out robbing your gran or pinching your phone.

 

Mind you it seems not to be a bad life today ,butlins with a slightly higher fence ,going by experience if their not crapping in a bucket ,shaving with a blunt razor blade or being eyed by a scew having a lukewarm bath then its not a prison ,2 toilets to a level was all there was not one to a cell with a nice telly and your own clothes and i got put in clink for telling the arse thinking he was better than me a ****! 28 days for using a word not a crime at all ,now they can rob and terrorise whole streets and get a slapped wrist!

I could happily design a prison where a 10 week sentence would ensure that 95% of criminals would never want to go back, where there would be no gangs, no drugs, no concerns about religious indoctrination.

Unfortunately that will fall into the PC trap of cruel and unusual treatment for the poor convicts and they will probably be given money and sympathy (mind you when it WAS common reoffending occurred) no the best way is being locked up and ofcourse no method of contacting the outside world except for a weekly letter to nearest and dearest.

 

Now ofcourse prisons are just lodging where criminals run their gangs via phones and the internet whilst being warm and comfy with no bills to pay ,probably superfast broadband aswell ,we cannot have the poor dears only get 2.5mb like us in the sticks
