Sam I am fishing every day at the moment, leaving home at 05.00 and usaly get home around 16.00, office hours for us,

I thought that the certificates were only for those employed in the fishing, so you should be able to go out with your mate, so long as he does not pay you, other wise all Big cods customers will have to have them, mind you it would not suprise me if defra hasn't already thought of that, who knows what you will all have to do to qualify for your licence.

I fish to live and live to fish.

I was surprised to see that fish quoters are sold.

If you sold a milk quoter you actually had something that you owned and had a quatifiable value.

A fish quoter is only an allowance per boat, you may or may not catch that amount and until you catch it you don't own it.

Seems a high risk purchase to me especially under current conditions.

I fish, I catches a few, I lose a few, BUT I enjoys. Anglers Trust PM

So Sam Big Cod has a lot of relations then.

Ken they are not cheap, and are some boats main expence, anther reason to fiddle,

the court cases mentioned are more to do with not buying enough quota, for there is a surplus of cod quota in the hands of PO's and other traders, anther part of the quota system that most people do not realise,

I fish to live and live to fish.
