Romantic Cod and Fish Populations?

we have a northeastern fisheries boat here what patrols a small 3mile area abut mainly checks the shell-fish side of things, i would imagine they would have to play a much bigger part they have all the equipment on board to hold up in court these boats what are fishing these areas just never leave it alone it is hammed all winter they often get 50-60stone halls for 4hours trawling mainly cod this was 100 stone 5 years ago
