I know it's not fish keeping, however I am considering buying some African Dwarf frogs. I have spent a few hours researching them, and I am very keen. They are supposed to be quite simple to keep, very hardy and enjoyable animals.
I was wondering if anyone on here has experience with AD frogs and could give me any added general advice?
Thanks, Dave

As famous fisherman John Gierach once said "I used to like fishing because I thought it had some larger significance. Now I like fishing because it's the one thing I can think of that probably doesn't."

PS are these cheap filters any good or are better quality ones worth investing in?

thats not a complete sponge filter but part of one. you would need to purchase an air pump to drive it.
what are the dimensions of your fish tank so i or someone could recommend a filter.
are you only going to get 1 frog, or do you plan on getting more in the future ?
before getting the frog you need to get the tank cycled (build up of beneficial bacteria in the filter)
here is a good article with 4 ways of cycling a tank before adding fish/frog: http://www.aquariums...aquarium-cycle/

looking at the temperatures they require i dont think you will need a heater. my tank holds between 20-24 Celsius (stays more around 23 Celsius) without a heater and they frogs require 22-27 Celsius.
once you get the tank setup just monitor the temps before sticking in the frog.
