Just got back from the Mull about an hour ago. Had a great weeks holiday. I must echo Andrews comments,thanks for that Ian
Catching fish myself was a bonus. The highlight was seeing Kyle and Caitlin catching pbs and watching them driving the boat I think Caitlin done Ians head in with her insessant banter  He got a big hug from the kids as well which was nice. Yup a great evening. Thanks again Ian,I owe you one. It was my first real testing of the "Snatcher sandeel" for pollack from the boat as well. Our last drop was a mark in Luce Bay and on Ians suggestion I tried a slow retrieve back to the boat. I was getting a hit nearly every chuck,missed a lot as they were coming short. I know that a flying hook would take many more fish but would result in some deeply hooked fish. As I practice catch and release with pollack I do not want to go down this road. We want pictures We want pictures We want pictures

Am fishing that new mark Ian showed us next Sunday am, Will even try and get young Snatcher to come to the van for the weekend. Fancy fishing it mate and has Tracy calmed down yet

So that's why he was not free Friday pm. We were supposed to be going out with him on Saturday am but he had to cancell.... it got a bit windy. We were out with him earlier in the week. 6 species inc 4 mackerel and 5 haddock which we ate/froze.
Guess I don't need to do the advertising bit... You have said it all Tack4. Thanks Ian for a good trip. We will be sure to look you up again if in the neighbourhood. Thats if you can put up with us again!? Sorry we did not get in touch Tack4.... "somebody" forgot the contact details and info "he" had printed off before we left home. Thanks for all you help anyway. |
