Just wanted to show you guys some pictures of the most beautiful pike I have ever seen. Went fishing with a mate yesterday to the river severn at Tewksury, We were after zander but they didn't show. Not to disapointed though! as you can see I had a brilliant session. I netted this 18lb pike at about 1 in the afternoon. It put up a brilliant scrap and is probably the nicest fish I have ever caught. I followed this up with another fish of 19lb at about half 3. Both caught on 3-4" roach deadbaits. My day was made all the more special when Matt Hayes and Mick Brown turned there boat around in front of my peg and began trolling the far bank. We sat and watched them for about 20 minutes before they dissapeared down stream. We only got a hello out of Mick,Perhaps Matt was having a bad day.
Unfortunately my mate didn't have such a good day as you can see by this photo- .While pulling out of a snag his rod shattered in to about 6 pieces. He also managed to break my landing net while landing the 19 and he blanked.
A day I will never forget.

yes he managed to keep a smile on his face on a day when most anglers would have given up and gone home.
Peter-sorry to hear you can't get out there amongst them. Hope you get well soon.

Go for it ant remember to not have any spaces in the file name and re-size the pictures to around 600 width.

Peter on the subject of being wounded. With the pain killers and anti biotics the doctor gave me today Im now on 30 pills a day! biggrin.gif I litterally rattle when I move now.Maybe it will increase the number of pike I catch...........after all our mate Charlie says they love rattles.......... biggrin.gif rolleyes.gif biggrin.gif
