Interesting write up.
I do have to wonder about the disclaimer on the page though. quote:Anybody have an idea why they felt the need to state the obvious? -------------------- "Democracy dies when the people wanting their government to take care of them outnumber those wanting to take care of themselves." - Author Unknown - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - For a selection of lures, reels and other items, visit my eBay shop http://stores.ebay.com/JaNewt-eMart |

Can I draw your attention to one sentence in the EA announcement ?
"Although potentially good news to anglers the increase in size has been recorded elsewhere in the world as a prelude to local extinction." I don't know if this comment is specific to charr, or if it is meant to be a more general statement. I would like to know more about the background science to this - on the face of it, it seems obvious enough that if numbers are going down, and the water is capable of supporting the same biomass, then an increase in average size is likely. However, I doubt if it is that simple. Any ideas anyone? Bruno? -------------------- Vagabond.
