Could someone provide some information regards fishing the ribble at mitton, particularly how to get to the stretch, the stretch limits and where to get day tickets.

The Ribble is featured in the current issue of " Coarse Fisherman " magazine - can't see any reference to Mitton, and I don't know the area so can't comment. They do list the following tackle shops for news / tickets : Ted Carters 01772 253476 Whelley Angling 01942 496806 Catch 22 01704 568450 hope that helps. [ 21. Make your way to reception at Mitton Hall.
They sell the tickets at £4 I think. This allows you to park at the public house and to fly fish from the bridge downstream as far as the confluence with the Calder and up the Calder as far as the woods. Coarse fishing is only allowed on certain lengths (but is is generally quiet). Hope this helps. Carl -------------------- The software required windows 3.11 or better....so I installed linux
