...Hi my query is,could anyone give me advice on a good specimen rod,idle for fishing the float with 5-8lb line,willbe used mostly on rivers for big chub/small barbel on the stick,allso now and then wagler fishing close and far out.I've been looking at the "TF Gear Grunt carp match 13' " ,or the "Harison Interceptor"(witch my brother has(when ive used it i have been impressed.)

Used to be limited to the Drennan Tench Float Rod,but these days with the popularity of comercial carp waters you are spoilt for choice.Simpley look at all of the Carp Match rods available.Some firms now market specific models intended for floatfishing for Barbel.
