shockleader problems

what is the best way of tying a shockleader then guys , just threw £20 worth of gear into the sea

Are you sure that your shockleader knot failed ? ...Or did your line wrap around your top ring, causing a "CrackOff"?????

BIMINI twist strongest and easy to tie once youve done it a couple times

The Allbright is another good knot for joining reel line and shockleader.
Its also very easy to tie.

I se that old bloodknot(?) thing, main round leader x 5, leader round main x 3, on tightening, the leader must be pulled back along itself. The line always breaks elsewhere when I snag. With braid, I've found this works but using x7 and x4 respectively.

i also add superglue to the leader not afterwards. does anyone else find this helps?
