I am a friend of Johns, I could pass on a message if you like. He is fine now by the way, but he was ill for a while. I got a feeling he is in canada this week or next.

 • Interests:I'll fish for anything anywhere, but my preference these days is barbel and chub in the summer, and anything I can catch in the winter!

Fished since I was 7 - which is far too long ago. I'm a complete tackle tart. I love nice rods and nice reels, but I have a particular passion for centrepins and cane rods!

I think you could pass the best wishes of just about every angler in the country! (and a Merry Xmas and Happy New Year and so on).

I think I was 13 when Go Fishing started and somewhere I still have that first series on video (from the very first time it was played on TV!).

The Carp episode was the one I was dying to see (I was a young but clueless carp fanatic back then!), but it was the Roach episode that probably had the most profound effect on my life as it introduced me to a love of centrepins which I have to this day.

So, you tell that man to look after himself. Go on. Do it now...

:D

Hi all, given him a call but no answer, I am sure he is away.
