spent saturday on the Chelmer.
didnt go quite as planned. only managed one small chub weighing in at just under 1lb.
was still an enjoyable session though.
and i realised one or two things about winter chub fishing so im looking forward to the next session!

Whereabouts on the Chelmer is that ? is it day ticket? Looks much prettier than the bit I fish, although having a weirpool to play in is fun!

hi matt,
its up near Broomfield. i followed the river for about a mile northwards from chelmsford riverside leisure center.
I used to fish there alot when i lived in chelmsford, but now i'm in colchester So i only go back there on the odd weekend. had a nice 3lb chub from there once. pic is in my gallery link below.

Some lovely fish you've caught from the Chelmer, the 2.5lb perch jumps out the most
