hi everyone.
Just a quick question. Does anyone know who runs the canal systems in thamesmead se28 london?
I know that gallons and thames mead trust clean them etc but does anyone know if they are ticket waters and if so how much is it to fish on them?
Also would like to suggest woolwich dockyards to people. its to dry docks that are run by A guy called Dell etherington. It has everything from perch, bream, roach, a number od different species of carp, pike and eels. you can only use Barbless hooks which is the case for most lakes etc these days. But it is worth a look at if u want somthing different.

Thanks for looking at my post and hope to hear from some of you soon

Hi Cliff and welcome to Anglers' Net.

I can't help you with your question but I didn't want you to think you were being ignored. If the weather is good (I live in Florida so don't know about UK conditions today) it will take longer to get an answer since lots of folks will be on the water this weekend.

thanks for the reply.

You can get a book from the EA that covers rivers. canals etc saying what's in them and who runs them and if no one does then they are free to fish. I think its a great book. Used to be £1 and you just phoned up and ordered it.

Might be worth a try.

Good luck

I am sure that the trust have responsibility for the system, but I am not sure any fishing happens due to the access, this contact may be able to help you if anyone can.

Thamesmead Town Angling Club
Thamesmead Town Angling Club (TTAC) fish at Gallions Lake in West Thamesmead and at Birchmere, sun-up to sun-down and at just £6 per session for one rod, £10 per session for two rods.

Fishing seems to be my favorite form of loafing.

I know the joy of fishes in the river through my own joy, as I go walking along the same river.

What do you think if the float does not dip, try again I think.
