Evening all , Ive just started feeder fishing using an 11ft quivertip rod . I usually fish for carp & tench (2-10lb) using feeders from 20-35g , but once filled they weigh about 50 grams (approx) . Just after some advice on which size T/Curve tip i should use on the rod to cast that weight & still register bites . Ive used a 1.5 oz glasstip but it felt quite flimsy casting the feeder 10-20 yards and i was quite wary of it snapping on the cast . What size tip would you suggest ? It may just be me because ive only ever casted big weights on beach casting rods before when ive been sea fishing . Any advice on matching tip to weight of feeder welcome
