Hi Rob, (same name as me) Im just a new starter to this site, but Ithink buy a warm coat,Agood set of waterproofs and just go fishing. If your putting tents up you aint catching fish.Plus you are always mobile and can move from place to place.

Hello rob.
Can`t say that I`ve ever used a shelter. But I keep meaning to buy one!! Every time the heavens open on a cold January night, I curse myself for not having one.
But come home time, when I watch those guys, having to make 2 or 3 trips up the shingle bank. I realise whats` stopped my getting one.
By the time I`ve got my rod bag, tackle box and bait-food box strapped over my floatation suit. I only want to make a one-way trip to where I`ll end up fishing? And if that short walk turns into a long hike, I`d rather just do it the once, either way.
Paul.
We don`t use J`s anymore!!

Just found this thread through the hit-logs for today.

There's a Shakespeare Navigator for sale here, with a day to go, at a fiver:

http://www.anglersne...h/beach-shelter

Mate of mine has had one for ages and it's served him well. Quite compact in size, but you're not on a beach to go camping and they are about the cheapest beach shelter that will actually do the job - there are loads of inappropriate ones on sale. He has cut off the clear front door thing, though, as it became a bit of a nuisance.
