i need intrepids (the reels condition is of no importance but the box is) in the gold coloured boxes (or just the boxes) to add to my collection, were not talking big money here but a fair price would be given.
i dont need any "bare" reels though cheers its the boxes i'm after.

got an intrepid box? give me a PM and i'l see if i have it or not! there are lots of variations in boxes so i could be missing your version ,cheers!

cheers mate but no buying reels incase i already have them ,i have 80+ different boxes already so the chances of accidentally finding one i havnt got is remote ,not impossible but all the common ones are sitting looking at me biggrin.gif 3 times more reels as boxes but many are varients in the reels design but i think theres probably another 60 boxes i haven't got yet if each reel has several versions of boxes
theres a distinct colour pattern in the later models ,wavy stripes ,straight stripes ,light blue boxes and gold boxes and now purple boxes are showing up in the sea reels .
in the morritt versions all colours and shapes occur but after 1970 the same box appears through the range but periodically changes but still keeps to the same design throughout the range.

for instance i have 3 versions of a seastreak box and a gold fastback box is out there and two types of blue cresta boxes so this means there is a gold seastreak box (seen it on ebay but at the wrong time of the month) out there and perhaps a blue seastreak box etc and ofcourse it also means the other sea reels may have been shipped with the seastreak versions of boxes but i havnt seen any to confirm this.
unfortunately i have a full list of the reels but no clues to how many or the designs of the boxes they came in.
as its so complicated i now carry a full list of my collection in my PDA so i can see if i have a box if i come across one at a bootfare ,before this i was buying boxes i already had but wasnt sure i had it biggrin.gif
