31 fished on the Island Pool and Adrian Davis, realizing nearly every peg was in, took a different approach to normal and fished the groundbait feeder with 6mm pellet on the hook from the off. He caught steady all the way through and won by a considerable margin. Most of his carp were around about the 2lb mark. Steve Heitzman fished long pole and maggot and caught the same stamp of fish to finish a good second. Richard Merry fished 10 metres on the deck using 6mm pellet on the hook.

30 fished the regular Sunday Open. Steve Heitzman again showed his class on the venue by catching a quality bag of commons and mirrors with a few F1s up in the water, fishing banded 6 ml hard pellet. Close behind, Steve Partington, with the wind in his face, fished on the deck with 6ml hair rigged pellet and feeding micros. He also caught a mixture of carp. Andy Prosser, on his first visit to the fishery for 12 months, soon found the way to catch fish and towards the end of the match was catching one a chuck with 6 mls on the hook and fishing on the deck. Wayne Pollitt made his journey from Stockport worthwhile by coming a close fourth.
