Steady fishing this week with early mornings and evenings still the most productive, the fish appear to be feeding very heavily as though aware the day light hours are fading and cooler times ahead.

Lookout
Mussel and prawn absolutely doing the business with fish a chuck and quality fish at that

Maggot still working well but put multiple maggots on the hook to avoid the smaller fish.

Paste and pellet catching some cracking fish and peperami also cubes of luncheon meat bringing in some good fish.

Peg 39 seems to be crucian carp city at the moment with large numbers being caught in the reeds close in both left and right of the peg.

Dennis Johnston from Haughton le spring caught a good female green tench of 9lb 8oz from peg 21

Bowes
Chopped worm and worm cocktail have caught two fish over the magic 30lbs and some very good doubles, you do need to feed a good amount of worm and caster to get the fish in to the swim.

A cracking bream was caught by Alex Etherington from Rothbury weighing in at 12lb 6oz , it was exceptionally dark and very thick.

Gary coaching from peg 1 on Bowes had a student produce more than 150lb in a half day session all on mussel and prawn.

Bassetts
Cracking fishing close to the reeds and up in the water has been the tendency this week, some good young anglers learning on this pond as well as some good adults, Liam Parker from Birtley had a great 8th birthday celebration learning how to fish and caught 22 fish in a session.
