Joanne learning coarse fishing with a golden tenchGeneral

Some excellent fishing this week as water temperatures stabalised. Bowes producing 76lb 4oz on peg 1 in 4 hours on Friday and peg 40 produced 81lb 11oz in 5 hours on Sunday, as well as John Foster in 4 hours pleasure fishing produced over 150lb of carp fishing shallow on paste.

Lookout is fishing well with pegs 1 and 15 doing some excellent weights. Bassetts is fishing best early mornings and evenings, with Ian Webster catching 4 10lb plus carp as well as 18 tench, ide, rudd and roach and 8 skimmers also 2 crucians.

Paste is still working on the hook all lakes as well as pellets, maggot, worm caster, and sweetcorn, feed angel pellets mixed with some hemp in a cage feeder and add some casters to the mix to make a great feed bait.

Lookout

Fishing very well with some excellent catch rates with 69lb 13oz coming out of the match on Wednesday with some good back up weights.

Silvers coming out in good numbers and some good sizes in them, tench and carp still feed well preparing and building  their body mass for the winter ahead.

Use your watercraft to choose your pegs and make sure your method of fishing matches weather conditions to optimise catch rates.

Dusk and dawn are still fantastic times for catch rates making season ticket holders crap in by 5 am and again at 5pm then fishing the golden hours.

Bowes

Excellent weights and numbers of fish coming out with 76lb 4oz on a 4 hour match on Friday afternoon being the winning weight byJohn Foster most fish have been caught up in the water and  have came out in pristine conditions with several anglers PB being broken. Some anglers have reported their best days fishing ever this week on this lake as fish have put good weights on over the years. Fishing is still at its prime at dusk and dawn with season ticket holders getting some stunning catches. On pole the number of 20s caught have been incredible and the quality of angler getting these doubles in has been exceptional, the quiver tip still reigns supreme for larger carp tight against the island, If Ledgering you need to use watercraft and walk around to choose the best pegs to fish from, pegs 19 and 17 have produced some excellent doubles tight to the island, as has pegs 37 and 1.   3,

Bassetts

Great pond with fishing best in afternoons to dusk or very early at dawn. Some double figured carp have been caught as well as good tench and silvers.  One angler targeted gudgeon and caught over 80 in a days session as well as silvers he was very happy to have caught the gudgeon as he said there are not many places with them in and they were his favourite fish!
