General

Fishing exceptionally well especially towards the weekend and the warmer weather & warmer water temperatures but needs some cloud for best fishing.

Fish a swim quite tight to margins just of the first shelf at 3 ft, also fish and keep second swim fed at the bottom of the second shelf at 6 ft, pole try out at 8 meters and take rudd on the drop spraying out maggots also pellets. Try feeder to back banks just of shelf but tight in to margin.

Best bait for consistency has been pellet, even Crucians coming in on fishmeal pellet, paste working on pole, maggot, caster, worm, corn all doing well on the hook. Feed angel feed pellets little but very often, almost constant drip feeding to get great catches and fish a chuck.

Fished garlic pellets on hook then feed 3mm angle pellets over making a good bed of feed at 3ft out on first self, son Chris had a bag all silvers and no carp all averaging three ¼’s of pound plus, all tempted by the trusty old maggots just trickling them in the margins.
