Match and Catch Report for Angel of the North Fishing Lakes week to 15th July 07
With a good couple of days break in the weather the Fishing has been great, even in winds and heavy rain ie Monday Evening 57lb 10oz in three hours was a great weigh considering the conditions, and the weights this week  are justification of good anglers and understanding feed patterns and tolerance of some extreme weather conditions. When the rain was torrential and bouncing at least 8 inches up of the water surface, making the float almost invisible, and anglers turned to the tip for catches.

Lookout mixed coarse

Large amounts of silvers to good sizes being caught feeding up after 2nd spawning, Carp and Tench being caught in excellent numbers at present preferring dusk and dawn for highest catch rates. Ghostie’s and Koi are feeding very well and some stunning fish being caught.

Skimmers and Bream being caught in good numbers get the feed patterns correct and they will be in your swim all day joined by Rudd, Roach and Ide. Perch also feeding heavily.

Bowes carp
Fishing is constant and carp feeding best from 4am till 9am then 5pm till dusk. Some good weights being caught and some good lumps to 26lb also feeding well.
Still not spawned, just waiting for the water temperature to rise and remain high for at least 5 days.
