Mixed Coarse Lakes are fishing at tremendous rates for range of species and sizes. Tench being caught in great numbers as they ready for spawning as weather holds and water temperatures at last hit higher temperatures the first 20 deg this year.
Lookout Mixed Coarse

Fishing like a dream with all species being caught in large numbers, it is easy to target specific species or go for a mixed bag. Carp just finishing spawning (Very late) and Tench feeding ready to spawn as water temperatures just hit 20deg for the first time this year.

Coach Ian Mc Conville fishing Monday had Carp to 8lb, Crucians to 2lb 8oz plus,  Ghosties to 9lb, Big bags of Bream, Good Tench to 5lb, Golden tench to 2lb 8oz, Rudd to 10oz plus, Roach, Ide, Perch he loved every min of his days fishing.

Bowes Carp Lake

Interesting fact  – Randy Fish do not Eat Much!!
From Friday to tonight every fish that has been caught but one,  was female, nearly all spawning or finished  with no eggs left,  only one male was caught which was full of sperm. So very much into spawning at last this is very late.   (most males must be full of male hormones and not interested in food!! Typical)

Carp went of feeding on Wed Evening and are just coming back on to feed after spawning, first good carp post spawning was a 23lb 4 oz Common again a female!  caught by John Walton from Doncaster on his first trip to Angel,  Smaller carp bred at Angel who are not sexually mature still feeding and post spawning carp turning to feed to recover.

Bassetts mixed coarse

Still  fishing excellently and great if wind gets up or for new comers into the sport.  Great for getting some practice on if you have not been coarse fishing for some time.
Sunderland Youth Team Fishing a match on here next Thursday , and lots of groups getting coaching to introduce new anglers to the sport.
