All fish are feeding normally early or late and overnight, as if they know winter and very cold water temperatures are coming, so getting fed up and into lovely winter colours. Some good orfe, ide and silvers being caught as well as the carp are feeding well. Tench are being caught but not in large numbers but bigger weights seem to be the norm rather than smaller.
 
Lookout
Fishing for pleasure anglers who read watercraft, & choose the correct method, and feed patterns is excellent. Larger fish are feeding up very well for winter and last years and 2 previous years angel bred fish being caught and putting on good weight.
Carp are feeding and ghosties, common also mirrors and koi at good weights being taken.
Silvers shoaling well get them to your swim and some cracking bags are caught.
 
Angel Pellets, Hemp, and maggot with groundbait working to attract fish, and hook baits pellet, chopped worm tails, maggot, caster and paste working.
Still have swims in margins then 5 mtres out keep 3 swims going to keep busy all day.
 
Bowes
Fishing remarkably well for the water temperature with practising match lads also pleasure anglers getting some excellent condition high doubles both commons also leathers best out this week was a common of 26lb 4oz . Estimated bags of fish over 100lb for pole anglers Roger Pedleham on Wednesday had 2 fish for 35lb landed well on pole as well as in excess of 60 fish to 5lb, using pole and tip to island. Andy Simpson fishing alongside Roger also had in excess of 70 fish to 5lb and is sure he broke his record on the lake.
Saturday Roger fishing for 3hours bagged 66lb 5oz
Neil Brown fishing Friday from 8.30am till 4.30 pm had 92 fish to 4lb recons he had 200lb.
 
Bassetts
Great fishing on this sheltered pond, some good numbers of fish still being caught and students learning to fish are catching well, several larger carp to 9lb 8oz caught and carp feeding very well as is ide, rudd, roach, orfe,.

Our winter league matches start Sunday 7th Oct for 12 weeks best 9 weights out of the 12 matches this is being ran alongside the Opens.
Anyone can either fish the odd Sunday open or opt for the winter league as you drop 3 matches names taken for next 2 weeks..
Opens are still paying out 1st, 2nd and 3rd each Sunday so plenty of choice for match anglers.
 
Sunday 30th Dec is a fur and feather bring a bottle Open match This is a pairs match with one angler on Lookout and one angler on Bowes, names being taken.
