A week of very mixed weather with 3 heavy frosts dropping the water temperature to 5.7 deg, calm water conditions on 3 days,  to heavy winds.

Bassetts has produced very well when calm water conditions, after heavy frosts was hard work when water temperatures dropped dramatically.

Lookout calm days also windy producing some stunning condition dark golden carp also Ide skimmers and some fat chunky Perch to 3lb, some rudd and nice roach also being taken, you do need to work hard for them and tackle needs to be much lighter. Worm, white maggot, and occasionally pellet doing the business with caster a good runner up.

Bowes Water temperatures dropping has made this hard going but what carp are being caught are phenomenal both in colouration and condition, best out this week was a mirror of 16lb 1oz.
Maggot working out best with worm a close second.
