General
The weather has been typical British Summer with rain and cloud even cold days, which dropped water temperature 1.4 deg then it crept up again. Fish still feeding excellently even in rain and colder days as the water temperature on some days was warmer than ambient temperatures.
A week of good sized fish being caught Ide at 2lb, orfe at 2lb 1oz,  skimmers at around 12oz, lots of bream from 2lb 8oz to 6lb 10oz, rudd in profusion at a good average 1lb,  tench of 3lb to 6lb, lots of Crucians around 1lb 8oz, and Lots of Carp in all sizes to 27lb 11oz.
It really is important to get feed patterns for targeted species correct, and size of hook bait if targeting larger specimen sized fish.
Hook baits doing well this week are all forms of pellet, expander, soft hooker, pre-drilled (for hair rigging), paste (try & make it from Angel pellets) sweetcorn, meat, worm, maggot, and caster. Sweet flavours still doing the best ie strawberry, however tuna, halibut, & fishmeal not far behind as water temperatures slowly cool down.
Fish to features all around the margins including island margins.

The raffle/fund for 3 youngsters who qualified for the  Browning Youth Masters Finals at Cudmore Lakes is progressing a big thank you to everyone will announce how much was raised for them and who has won the raffle prizes on Monday 25th before they travel down to Cudmore. Their parents have to pay for travel, food, accommodation, entrance fees for final and practice sessions, and must buy all the bait there. So a very expensive time for the finalists families.
The prizes are sacks of feed pellets or bait equivalent that we are giving.
