Big Pike continue to dominate catches for specialist anglers at borwickfishing.co.uk.
New borwickfishing.co.uk syndicate member, Steve Priestley, returned after his 20lb 1oz fish to take his second twenty-pounder within a fortnight with a finely marked different Pike at 21lb 12oz. Shortly after Liam Briggs, a long-standing borwickfishing.co.uk regular, took the best Pike so far in 2009 at a superb 27lb. Together with Steve Crossmans 25 pounder, this brings the number of 20lb plus Pike to four in recent weeks.
Elsewhere on site, the smaller Carp continue to be caught but in this winter’s alternating mild and cold spells they are showing finicky feeding. Short links and method feeders are the order of the day with mini-boilies proving to be the best bait. As the weather warms through April be ready to switch from feeders to float tactics as the fish move in and up in the water. Contact on-site bailiff, Jimmy, on 07984 399637 to find out where the concentrated shoals are located to make big catches.
As in previous years, borwickfishing.co.uk will be celebrating Easter, (the traditional start of Summer fishing), by giving a free Easter Egg to visiting junior anglers on Easter Sunday.
