Mat Baker did a short session on the Grand Union Canal in Milton Keynes and was rewarded with a 21lb 2oz mirror which fell to sweetcorn fished under the far bank trees. Visit the MKAA web site at www.mkaa.co.uk
Beds & Bucks Carping regular Glenn Millier fished at Luton AC’s North House Lake on the Wyboston Complex and caught a 19lb 3oz common on Innovate Squid 2t and Jack Heather followed up a recent 30lb common by landing Pecs at 29lb 4oz on a Heathrow Bait Services boilie. The club were concerned about this fish a few months ago when she was caught spawned out at 24lb and in poor condition but she is now back to her best and should go over 30lb in the near future. Commons of 19lb and 20lb were also tempted from North House this week to unnamed anglers.
On the Grand Union canal near Leighton Buzzard sport has slowed but day ticket angler Mr Garner caught a 15lb 6oz common on a Dynamite Baits Sweet Chilli Boilie and Charlie Riddock had a 9lb 8oz mirror on a Dynamite Baits Monster Tiger Nut Boilie.
At Beckerings Reservoir near Flitwick the fish have been showing but catching them has proved difficult. James Moncaster landed a 21lb common, Phil Randall had two to 15lb and an angler known only as Ray also had a 15lb fish.

On the Newport Pagnell Abbey Pits last weekends carp match was a blank affair with no fish caught however an angler known only as Jon landed a 23lb 8oz mirror a week later proving that the elusive fish can be tempted to feed. Visit the NPFA web site at www.npfa.org.uk
