RURAL living and country pastimes will get the star treatment at this year’s Cheshire Show when famous TV botanist Professor David Bellamy launches a new Game Fair attraction.

Dr Bellamy, author and a respected broadcaster, will open the Fair as part of Cheshire Show on June 20 and 21.

He will be joined by a colourful tribe of Zulu warriors who will be getting things off to a flying start.

The Game Fair is being introduced at the Cheshire Show to build on the success of its popular Country Pursuits section held in previous years.

And to celebrate the new Game Fair, show organisers are encouraging even more traders who specialise in rural products to exhibit their wares by offering some fantastic discounts for stand space.

There will also be a jam-packed timetable of events for country sports enthusiasts with everything from falconry and gundog training to long netting and fly fishing being demonstrated in the Game Fair show ring.

Cheshire Show continues to experience year-on-year growth and enduring popularity with visitors from across the country.

With an audience in excess of 60,000 over the two days, The Game Fair section gives rural related businesses a fantastic opportunity to show visitors a fresh approach to country living.

Nigel Evans, Executive Director of the Cheshire Show, said: “We are really lucky that David Bellamy is making a guest appearance at this new event which I know will be a great success.

“During his career David has written over 45 books and presented some 400 television programmes so it’s a great honour for the show.”

Nigel added: “We always strive to provide new and appealing sections to the event each year to help keep the show fresh for visitors.

“In the Game Fair enclosure we want to encourage country and rural related businesses and organisations to use the space available – therefore we have put together a great package for traders.”

Exhibitors are being offered, on a first come first served basis, a three metre squared marquee for just £130.

The Cheshire Show team provide a professional and efficient service, enabling exhibitors to maximise their opportunities for sales and promotion.
