Those with an active interest in one of the UK’s most popular hobbies will no doubt be interested to hear of the sale of an extensive collection of angling equipment this month. The items, which include fishing rods, reels, nets and fly fishing equipment make up 19 lots in West Midland auctioneers Cuttlestones’ forthcoming Specialist Collectors’ Sale at its Wolverhampton Auction Rooms on Friday, 18th May, 2012.
Lots of particular note include a large quantity of fly making equipment and supplies including paints, feathers, hooks, etc – which could possibly kit an angler out for life – at an estimated £80-120.
Wolverhampton Auction Rooms Tom Waldron says:
“There are some cracking lots here which could really kit you out for fishing for years to come. Most of the lots come from a single vendor and all are in excellent condition – there’s a huge quantity of fly fishing equipment on offer and the vendor evidently had a real knack for making his own flies. We’re expecting local fishing fans to be out in force on the day of the sale to take advantage of this great opportunity.”
Full details of all fishing lots in Cuttlestones’ Friday, 18th May Specialist Collectors’ Auction will be available on the online catalogue at www.cuttlestones.co.uk from Friday 11th May. Online, commission and telephone bidding options are available for those unable to attend the sale in person. In the meantime, for further information call Tom Waldron on 01902 421985.
