Drennan Team EnglandDrennan Team England are considered one of the most respected and one of the strongest teams in the world who have already won four gold medals over the last 6 years. All their supporters will be following their progress and hoping that the England team bring back another medal to add to their vast collection they already hold.

Mark Downes, Joint Drennan Team England Manager, said “This team is unique, we have a great team of anglers who can adapt to any venue, and what’s more they all have individual skills that help formulate match winning tactics. Many of them have fished the Ostellato already, but when the main species were Carrassio, now its skimmer and big bream which will suit us superbly.”

Mark Addy, Joint Drennan Team England Manager, added “winning in Italy is always the most difficult of tasks, but we can win anywhere, and despite some people intimating some of the team which is getting a little long in the tooth, they can still be world beaters for some time to come. What the team lack in athletic ability they make up for with huge amounts of talent and experience”.

Dick Clegg, OBE International Events Manager, echoed the statements of both Mark Addy and Mark Downes and added, “This year it is important to match the Italians on their home soil and this team is more than capable of beating them. The World Angling Games bring together all disciplines within CIPs and I know the Italians are expecting to win many medals this year, but Drennan Team England can, and will, scupper their chance in the Nations Championship”.

The Drennan Team England Managers are still awaiting the final venue to be decided for the European Championships, and will therefore announce their team shortly.
