News Release From EFTTA

EFTTEX 2009 sees a big increase in pre-registered visitors flocking to Budapest, Hungary on 12th – 14th June compared to EFTTEX 2008.  This year 1855 visitors booked their free place at the show by the deadline date of Friday, 29th May.  This shows an astounding rise of 533 compared to last year’s EFTTEX in Rome which saw 1322 pre-registered in the same period.

PR & Publications Co-Ordinator, Jo Whitehall said: “We are really pleased with this rise which can be attributed to our more targeted visitor e-marketing campaign as well as a very specific visitor postcard mailshot.  We also have a new contra deal with the Hungarian magazine Sikeres Sportorgasz which has raised our profile in Hungary considerably.”

These figures are especially good despite the Italian wholesalers who exhibited in Rome last year not returning to Budapest this year.  Pre-registration figures are not the only statistics up from last year. We have also booked a total of 7422 sqm in Budapest against 7300 sqm in Rome. In a country where there are few local fishing tackle companies this is surely an excellent sign.

The show offers the usual array of competitions, seminars, line testing and lobby activities plus a re-designed Casting Pool Village and a brand new Bivvy Area.  This is also our members chance to vote on the venue for EFTTEX 2011 at the AGA on Sunday, 14th June as well as the chance to win EFTTEX 2010 free membership.

See you at EFTTEX in Budapest, The Trade Show that Works for You.
